It is with deep regret that we advise that Dr Maurice Wallin passed away on 2 January 2020.
Dr Maurice Wallin was the founding President of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine. Together with Dr Maura McGill, a then partner at Clayton Utz Law Firm, and Dr Noel McCleave, a forensic physician in Adelaide, the College was inaugurated in November 1995.
Dr Wallin was highly regarded by the College, and his success in establishing this professional body stands as a strong achievement for which he will be forever remembered. Those who knew Dr Wallin will always remember him for being a true gentleman, a friend and someone to be greatly respected.
On behalf of his wife, Mrs Margaret Wallin, we wish to advise the funeral details for any College members who wish to attend:
The Funeral Mass for Dr Maurice Jeffrey Wallin will be offered at St Joseph's Church, 30 Fitzgerald Street, South Yarra, Melbourne VIC, on THURSDAY 9 January 2020 at 11.00 am (Melbourne time). A Private Cremation will follow. Please join the Family for refreshments at the conclusion of the Mass.
On behalf of the College, we send our deepest heartfelt condolences to Mrs Wallin, as well as to all who knew Dr Wallin personally.
