Overseas speakers are invited to present remotely.

Please explain how your presentation relates to the overall theme "Law and Regulation of Healthcare", and which sub-session it relates to. Sub-sessions are below, along with suggested topics are listed (you are not limited to these):

1. Corporatisation of Medicine & Dentistry

- Delivering patient-centred care in a corporate environment
- Determination of 'responsibility' in health care (leadership or practitioner: case law focus on decisions)
- Models of success

2. Regulation of Medical Service Providers

- Case law examination of responsibility in clinical error/malpractice in non-physician/dentist group (can include naturopaths, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, doulas)
- Abrogation and practitioner 'fault' (case law)
- Scope of practice through regulation (pitfalls and successes)
- Counteracting misinformation through education (e.g. untrained advisors, social media, false advice)

3. Managing and Recognising Vicarious Trauma

- Pandemic lessons
- Loss of medical and nursing staff
- Other examples of situational/vicarious trauma and management strategies
